He lives on in the heart and soul of his music which this series of videos - shot at the Corkman Pub, Carlton Melbourne - makes manifest. So far away and yet so near. Johnny is brilliant on the banjo. My grandad played the banjo and might I add, he played it very well. However, Johnny is one of the best banjo players I ever heard. It's a shame that he is no longer with us. RIP John Fitzgerald. You are sadly missed but your banjo playing will live on forever.
